Program Content
The program comprises the following courses:
Course 1: Planning Workplace Projects
This Global course in Planning Workplace Projects is designed for people tasked with planning and managing small scale business projects, or for those team leaders or managers who are in need of a hands on introduction to the concepts, methods and techniques of project management. The course is the first of 2 courses in the Managing Projects in the Organization Series. You will learn how to effectively plan for a workplace project, including resources planning, financial planning, developing a complete project plan and framing the communication plan for the project.
Course 2: Writing a (Project) Business Case
This practical course takes you through a systematic process of writing a financial case which provides convincing justification, for proposed investment in new equipment, new systems, acquisitions, major projects, and innovations.
Course 3: Managing Workplace Projects
This second course in the Managing Projects in the Organization series, is designed for managers and team leaders tasked with leading the execution of projects. You will learn how to identify, align and mobilize the people and resources to effectively execute the projects plans you have developed. You will learn how to manage resources, manage costs, manage change, manage project quality and manage project risk. You will also learn how to provide project leadership, and how monitor and report on project progress, calculate and monitor earned value and finally, effectively project close-out.
Course 4: Agile Project Management
This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the principles of Agile Management and their application to project management. Participants will gain an in depth understanding of how the Agile Project Management processes can guide the planning, management and control of successful Agile projects.
