The 60 credit Global ADVANCED DIPLOMA IN SENIOR MANAGEMENT comprises 20 courses, and is designed to enable experienced business managers to acquire the skills and knowledge with which to excel in Senior Management Roles. The program meets the specifications for the Accredited Senior Management Qualification from the Institute of Accredited Managers.

MODULE 1: PRINCIPLES OF MANAGEMENT

  1. MANAGEMENT COACHING AND MENTORING (3 credits) - This course in Coaching and Mentoring will give leaders the skills and knowledge to coach individuals, and plan for and introduce a process of coaching and mentoring of high potential and key staff.
  2. DEVELOP A HIGH PERFORMANCE ORGANIZATION (3 credits) - In this course, you will learn how to review the capabilities and performance of your organization, and how to create a culture committed to continuous improvement, innovation and achieving high performance.
  3. IMPROVING EFFICIENCY AND EFFECTIVENESS (3 credits) - This comprehensive online management course is designed to help experienced managers improve the efficiency and effectiveness of their business unit.
  4. MANAGE STRESS AND CONFLICT IN THE ORGANIZATION (3 credits) - Designed for middle and senior managers, this course helps managers develop the strategy and practices to reduce the stress and conflict in their work teams, deal effectively with bullying and harassment, and create a calm and more cohesive work environment.

MODULE 2: MARKETING AND SALES

  1. MARKET ASSESSMENT (2 credits) - This course will help you gain an in depth understanding of the business environment you are currently and planning to operate in. MODULE 5: OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT

  1. DEVELOP AND IMPLEMENT OPERATIONS PLANS (3 credits) - The course provides the guidance and tools with which managers can develop and implement operational plans to ensure that the objectives and strategies outlined in the strategic and/or business plan are met by work teams.
  2. MANAGING PHYSICAL RESOURCES IN THE ORGANIZATION (3 credits) - This course is designed for managers responsible for the planning for, acquisition and management of physical and human resources to support the efficient functioning of a service or manufacturing operations.
  3. LEAD AND MANAGE BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT (4 credits) - This comprehensive course will provide you an insight into all the key concepts used by specialists in Continuous improvement, and enable you to successfully lead business improvement initiatives, and help build a continuous improvement culture in your organization.

MODULE 6: HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGEMENT

  1. MANAGING RECRUITMENT AND SELECTION (3 credits) - This course is designed for managers and team leaders tasked with playing an active role in recruiting new staff. You will learn about the core principles involved in recruitment and selection, and how to lead a recruitment program in the organization.
  2. CREATING A LEARNING ORGANIZATION (3 credits) - This course provides managers in non-HRM roles with an understanding of organization development, and the knowledge and skills to promote a learning culture in the organization and contribute significantly to wider organization development.
  3. DEVELOP AND PROMOTE EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY (3 credits) - This course will help managers understand and cope with diversity and equality challenges at work, and learn how to promote equality and diversity in the workplace.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

In order to register in this course, candidates will be working in a middle or senior management position, or preparing for entry into a senior level position. Candidates will have completed the Accredited Middle Management Program or a comparable qualification in business, and, or management.

PROGRAM DURATION

Learners have 9 months from the date of enrolment to complete the ADVANCED DIPLOMA Program.

ASSESSMENT

Assessment in this program takes the form of Online-quizzes (normally 3 in each course). Each quiz has a pass mark of 70% and you can take the quizzes as many times as you wish.

FINAL EXAM - to qualify for the Advanced Diploma, you will complete the 6 final examinations, which covers the content of the core units of the Advanced Diploma Program. You will have 360 minutes to complete all 6 final examinations (300 questions - passmark 50%).
